How to lay your rug

TRP self-adhesive carpet modules can be laid easily, quickly and without additional gluing on nearly all types of sub flooring. The self-adhesive backing allows the modules to stick to the floor without leaving any marks. It is easy to replace a module should it get damaged or soiled.

How to get going with your Rug Project: 

  1. Make sure that the sub flooring is clean and dry before placing TRP carpet modules. 

  2. Begin laying by applying a perfectly straight line drawn on the sub flooring.

  3. The first row of modules is subsequently laid out along this line using the lengthwise edge as a guide.

  4. Add additional modules as you see fit (can be either straight lines or ”wild grouping”, however they should exhibit an edge overlap of at least 15 cm).

Tips: To make sure that no pile threads get wedged between the modules, slide the modules against each other (rather than placing them from above) and “rub” them into place. Also be aware that the piles will tilt in different directions, meaning you may want to rotate modules to make them match. Vacuum clean your rug after completing it.

Types of subflooring suitable for laying TRP self-adhesive carpet modules:

  • Parquet flooring

  • Ceramic tiles

  • Linoleum

  • Rubber

  • PVC/CV flooring

  • Sealed cork flooring

  • Laminate

  • Natural stone floors (risk of discolouration)

  • Chipboard sheets

TRP självhäftande modulmattor läggs enkelt och utan limning på nästan alla typer av golv. Den självhäftande undersidan ger ett bra fäste utan att göra märken i golvet. Det är enkelt att byta ut en modul om den skadas. 

Så här gör du för att komma igång med ditt Rug Project:

  1. Se till att golvet är rent och tort innan du börjar lägga ut modulerna

  2. Mät upp en rät linje

  3. Lägg modulerna längs den uppmätta linjen så att det bildar en ytterkant

  4. Fortsätt sedan att lägga ut modulerna i en 90-gradig vinkel till ytterkanten

Tips: För att undgå att mattrådar fastnar mellan modulerna, skjut dem mot varandra och “gnugga” tills de fäster. Eftersom mattrådarna har olika lutning kan det också vara nödvändigt att rotera modulerna för att de ska matcha. Dammsug mattan efter att du har lagt den.
